This Entrepreneur Conquered ADHD with AI

Every business owner, whether neurodivergent or not, can learn a thing or two about being productive with Ariana’s toolkit

Ariana Rodriguez may have ADHD but never let her disorder come in the way of establishing AR & Company, a strategy & Ops firm helping BIPOC women entrepreneurs streamline their business for success. Rodriguez says AI is helping her become the best version of herself. Let’s get into it!

Prioritising Ideas with AI

Ariana never has any trouble envisioning the end product but struggles with execution. So she gives ChatGPT details about her thoughts, asking it to develop a project plan, including realistic dates and timelines.

Have ChatGPT Ask You Questions

Not satisfied with dull answers? Ariana says one of the biggest business hacks with ChatGPT has been having it generate questions to help her think through challenges.

Tricky Emails? Use ChatGPT

When facing a difficult client situation—like needing to address a complaint or negotiate terms—founders can ask ChatGPT for help. They might start by explaining the context and the challenges they’re facing. After ChatGPT generates suggestions or ideas, the founder can verbally respond using Otter.ai, refining their email response. This way, they craft thoughtful communication without getting stuck in their head or taking too much time.

  • Initiate a conversation with ChatGPT about a specific problem.

  • Use Otter.ai to respond verbally to ChatGPT's questions and generate a transcript.

  • Feed the transcript back into ChatGPT for additional insights or next steps.

Custom GPTs Tailored To Your Needs

Users can customise chatbots that serve a specific function. Through experimentation, Ariana ended up creating a six-month social media strategy by feeding a custom GPT with old blogs, social media posts and information about her brand’s voice. This custom GPT analysed which posts performed well and why. Ariana’s ‘social media GPT’ generates posts that require very little tweaking. Here’s another example of a user wanting to create ‘GPT Grammar Lion’:

To create your own GPT, follow the following steps on ChatGPT’s Plus version:

  • Step 1: Open ChatGPT < Click ‘Explore’ < My GPT < Create a GPT

  • Step 2: Interact with ‘GPT Builder’ explaining what to create

  • Step 3: Name your GPT and assign a profile picture

  • Step 4: Upload any files you want to train your GPT on

  • Step 5: Ensure you’ve granted the GPT permission to browse the web, generate images with DALL-E, and interpret code

  • Step 6: Save the GPT as private or public

  • Pro tip: Add your name, website, and GPT for visibility. If you happen to build a widely used GPT, you can generate revenue for it via the GPT store
